  4. Repeat steps 1-3 again.

Reset Method 2:

  1. Press and hold both the ‘vol’ (+) and ‘menu’ buttons on the TV side panel.
  2. While holding these buttons, press and release the ‘power’ button on the panel.
  3. Release the hold after counting to 5.

Reset Method 3:

  1. Unplug the power cord from the TV.
  2. Wait for at least 1 hour (60+ minutes).
  3. Press and hold the power button (on the set, not the remote) for 60 seconds.
  4. Keep holding the power button while plugging the TV back in for another 60 seconds after.
  5. Go directly to the wall outlet, bypassing any power strips or surge protectors.

Reset Method 4:

  1. Hold the ‘menu’ and ‘vol-‘ buttons on the side of the TV.
  2. While holding these buttons, press the ‘power’ button on the side of the TV (not the remote).
  3. The blue light should come on and stay on.
  4. Wait for 10 seconds, then release the ‘menu’ and ‘vol-‘ buttons.
  5. Wait another 30 seconds and a picture should appear.

Reset Method 6:

Step 2: Identify the worn capacitors

  • Locate the three capacitors that are responsible for turning the TV on and identify any worn capacitors by their bulging shape.

Step 3: Replace the worn capacitors

  • If you can, replace those faulty capacitors with new capacitors.

Step 4: Solder the new capacitors

  • Carefully solder the new capacitors into the board, making sure to align the positive and negative terminals with the corresponding terminals on the board.

Step 5: Put the TV back together

  • Carefully put the TV back together and reattach the back panel.

Note: In my case, I was able to resolve the issue with a Hitachi TV that had come in for repair. The cause of the problem was faulty capacitors, but in your situation, it could be related to either the mainboard or the power supply. However, similar steps can still be used to address this issue.
